Introduction

François and Robyn Klaus are choreographer and teacher working in Europe, Asia and Australia. 

They are currently affiliated as guests with the following companies: Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, Vienna State Opera Ballet,  Zürich Ballet, Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Singapore Dance Theatre, Hannover Ballet. Leipzig Ballet. 

Former Principal Dancer with Hamburg Ballet, François Klaus was Artistic Director and Chief Choreographer of Queensland Ballet, Australia, from January 1998 to December 2012. Under his stewardship, the company made a significant leap forward, increasing the number of full- time dancer contracts from 10 to 26, trebling audience figures, undertaking several successful international tours to Europe and Asia, as well as stabilizing the company's financial situation and building reserves. 

In addition to choreographing a wide- ranging and popular repertoire, François also established, with his wife Robyn, three highly regarded training programs for the formation of professional dancers. Prior to taking up his position with Queensland Ballet, François was Artistic Director and chief Choreographer with Bern Ballet (1991-1994) and his own independant company, Ballet Art, Switzerland  (1994-1996). He taught as Guest Company teacher with Bejart Ballet, Lausanne, Staatsballett Berlin, and Semper Oper Ballet, Dresden as well as Hamburg Ballet while still Principal Dancer.
